Bridal Jewelry: Stella & Dot.

I mentioned here that I recently attended a Stella & Dot trunk show. There were so many awesome pieces that were fitting for the bride. Here are a few samplings of what they have to offer paired with bridal and bridesmaid gowns.

This color combo of the soft pink and gray is perfect for a winter wedding. The Colette Necklace from Stella & Dot and this fabulous Sasha Brooch, paired with this soft pink (warm pebble) strapless J. Crew bridesmaid dress is something your bridesmaids will love you for.

This smoky blue (charcoal), one shoulder, chiffon bridesmaid gown from Jim Hjelm could double as a mother of the bride dress. And the Sofia Cluster Bracelet has just the right amount of elegance and sparkle.

Brides, this Priscilla of Boston ball gown is encrusted with crystals. I love the edgy-ness of this Petra Braided Bracelet.

Saving the best for last - this Sofia Pearl Bib Necklace is to die for. And you can't go wrong with Amsale. The details in the organza florals and pleated skirt is the perfect match with such a bold necklace.

Pretty Packaging: Stella & Dot.

A few weeks ago, I attended a Trunk Show for Stella & Dot at a friend's house. I was pleasantly surprised at the fun pieces, but I am a simple girl, so I got something to wear for everyday.

I've worn both of these so many times already with either a t-shirt or a cute dress. I was even more excited about the packaging! It was really cute. There are so many pieces that would be great for the bride or for the bridesmaid...more on that soon. These are stunning little packages for a any special day.

Next week, I'll you some pieces I think are great for brides and bridesmaids. But for now, check out Stella & Dot online.

The Green Room: New Meeting Space for A Little Something Detailed

I'll admit it. I only get the paper to read through the yard sale listings for Saturday morning. I stumbled upon an estate sale, thanks to an early morning call from my mother-in-law, and found some great deals.

This is my new meeting space for A Little Something Detailed clients!

Couch - $50
Wing Backed Chair - $20 + $125 to slipcover
Coffee Table - $19.99 at Ikea
End Tables - $7.99 each at Ikea
Black Throw Pillows - $20 at Homegoods
Recovered Couch Pillows - $12 each
Vinyl Shelving - $15 at Home Depot
Black and White Mirror - $17 at Homegoods
Total: $294.00

The couch is in great condition. I really think it was only used in a granny's formal living room for opening presents on Christmas Day. It's vintage style is a great pairing with the rest of the modern elements. I had the wing backed chair slip-covered here in Nashville - let me know if you want his contact number. He is a little creepy, but his work is awesome and affordable.

We already had this Nashville picture, taken by friend, co-worker's husband and former roommate of my husband, Warne Riker. You may recognize his pictures from the cover of the Nashville Scene with the flood picture. That was a real picture folks. He uses HDR for some of his pictures. Uber talented photographer. You can find all of his pictures here for purchase.

ModerNash is a company in town that drives to Ikea every week and brings back goodies to Nashville residents. It is SO much less expensive to have them pick it up than it is to pay Ikea's shipping charges.  And the shelving idea came from a fav blog of mine, Young House Love. Overall, I am very pleased with the outcome of this room, since my hubby thought it was a waste of space and money to furnish - shame on him! Glad I could prove him wrong.

Lake of the Ozarks Wedding Details in Clover and Pink. Part 2.

Seeing a bride's vision come to fruition is totally awesome. What I do is usually just a smidgen of the work and details a family does to bring everything together. And the details really make a big difference. You can see other details of Brent and Michala's wedding here and here. Michala put so much work into this wedding and it paid off! Everything from the favors (cookies and coozies) to the decor, food and music.

Favors: Coozies

The Parasol Room at Tan-Tar-A resort was (IMO) a perfect reception room. Large windows opened to mile-long views of the Lake of the Ozarks. The inside of this room is supposed to look like the mechanics of an umbrella - and that theme was carried out in the reception decor. I love the DIY a-la-Martha Stewart poms, lanterns and parasols hanging from the ceiling of this room.

Each table had wine with custom labels and donation cards for the American Cancer Society as a respectful way to honor family members.

Michala made the centerpieces - having family members save any glass jars. She wrapped them with wire and strung pink and green jewels from the neck of the jar, filled them with sand and used a battery operated candle. So cute! This guest book idea deserves its own post when it is finished. The couple had guests sign quilt squares as their guest book. The squares will be sewn together later for the couple to use in their home. Such a great idea.

And I just had to show this picture - from the gorgeous weather at the ceremony to this!

This is the same window - can you believe it? Outdoor weddings make me so nervous!

We've Moved: Housewarming Invitations.

I've had this idea in my head since before we even knew we were moving. We love throwing parties - usually it's pretty low key - but this one deserved it's own - real - in person - invitation. I'll let the images speak for themselves - check them out below!

Our little guy - Coco - He loves to party!

I should also mention that my inspiration came from this idea I found through Google Images.
