Wedding Invitation: Pool blue, Chocolate & Cream

This wedding invitation is a simple design for an intimate affair. A brocade design creates a border across the top and bottom of the invitation in chocolate brown and cream.

What's great about this invitation is that the background can be switched from pool blue to any color you'd like - It would be beautiful in light pink for a baby shower or a lemon yellow.

Vintage Wedding Shower Invitation

This vintage wedding shower invitation is for a very dear friend of mine! It was so easy to capture her style for this upcoming shower.

It's a 9x4" invitation with lots of information on it! It's a couples shower where we are going to stock their bar and their house. The guys are supposed to bring something to stock their bar and the girls are supposed to bring something to stock their house. Should be an interesting party!

We also did a label wrap on these beautiful smokey gray No. 10 envelopes.

Looking forward to posting the vintage-casual party details soon!

Burlap Invitations for Low Country Boil (Crawfish Boil)

These invitations are for an event being held at a place that is near and dear to my heart. In Point Clear, Al, there is a little Inn (Dorgan's Inn) that sits on the wharf. (I am from South Alabama, and my family still lives there.) Dorgan's has this fabulous pier and deck that reaches way out into the bay. This couple is holding their rehearsal dinner way out there on that pier and serving a southern fav...crawfish. Their decor will use burlap, ice blue glassware and vases and these beautiful lanterns with red candles.

Oh yes...the important part...the invitations!

That's real burlap... it was a little experiment on my part to figure out how to get it stiff. After lots of fabric stiffener... and a really big mess on my patio...it worked perfectly.

So happy to see these meet the mother of groom's expectations. These will definitely set the tone for casual, relaxed and fun out on the bay.

Events: Sailor Baby Shower.

One of my very best friends is having her first child! She is the first really close friend of mine who is pregnant. Don't get me wrong...we've had our fair share of baby showers lately. But this...is my best friend. And, she has asked me and my hubby to be Godparents. We are so honored! And scared that we won't live up to that title. But, we are going to do our best! And I started with her baby shower.

You may remember these theme-appropriate invitations designed by yours truly A Little Something Detailed. I went a little over board. (Wow...pardon the pun. Honest accident!) It is rare that someone would use such a fancy invitation for a baby shower. But, think of these as a wedding invitation. The red ribbon is chocolate brown with your monogram in the middle and the layers of the invitation are a dark metallic chocolate, icy blue and shimmery crystal white. There...a beautiful invitation for a more formal occasion.

Baby Ridge's nursery is sailing themed, so we took that and ran with it. Upon arriving guests, were allowed to guess Whitney's circumference, were handed 3 clothes pins (we couldn't say "baby" or someone could take your clothes pin) and were asked to fill out a mad lib about the big event, which we made Whitney read aloud before open her gifts.

The paper details were, of course, the best place to pull in the theme. We used a personalized party banner on the mantel with balloons and picture frames adorned with a smaller sailing flag party banner.

All around the absolutely beautiful and huge home of the future grandmother, were photos of Whit throughout here pregnancy and decor to set the theme. Diaper cakes are making a huge come back and was one of the center pieces of the decor, pulling double duty when they run out of diapers at midnight one day. :)

We've Moved: Housewarming Invitations.

I've had this idea in my head since before we even knew we were moving. We love throwing parties - usually it's pretty low key - but this one deserved it's own - real - in person - invitation. I'll let the images speak for themselves - check them out below!

Our little guy - Coco - He loves to party!

I should also mention that my inspiration came from this idea I found through Google Images.

New Address Stamp.

When I got back in town from a weekend trip, this was waiting on me! A custom address stamp from Primele. And what cute packaging. Natural and a little prissy at the same time. They also offer hand lettered calligraphy for your wedding invites to add something special. Super excited to use this on our house warming invitations next month.

Pocket Fold Wedding Invitations in Clover & Pink.

Dear friends of ours, Brent and Michala, are getting married this July. Brent and I met one weekend when we had a big group in town for some fun. He told my hubby and me about how wonderful Michala is, and I knew whoever this lady was, that she had her hands full and must have been perfect for him. (love ya, Brent!)

I had the pleasure of meeting Michala for the first time at my wedding. And I knew. I knew right there on the dance floor that they were a great couple. They both have a work hard / play hard mentality. We were all surprised (even Michala, I think) when Brent popped the question. You see, every time we asked if they were going to get married - because we all knew they would eventually - they replied that they were taking their time.

I was very excited to get an email from Michala to work on her invitations, programs, favors and wine labels. The destination wedding is at a resort in Lake of the Ozarks, MO and, we are patiently (er, not so patiently) awaiting the trip.

Now the the invitations are officially out...here they are. These have to be some of my favorite invitations so far!

Looking forward to the fan programs, favors and wine labels soon!
