Corporate Executive Dinner
Being from the south, I...let's just say...have a pretty big pet peeve about guests not responding to invitations with an response requested. Don't people understand that it is a HUGE inconvenience for planners to plan without a number? This is me getting of my soapbox:.. :)
Since all of humanity seems to have forgotten the polite rules of responding to events...maybe they need a little polite nudging with wording like this? This invitation to a corporate dinner has used the wording..."private and exclusive dinner" and "Seating is reserved and limited. Please respond by October 1."
Wonder why brides and/or the bridal industry hasn't caught on to this way of wording? I guess everything is very Emily Post. Must be proper. Must be polite. Must be Martha. So, if the bride must be these things...why won't guest be these things...and just respond? Happy RSVP collecting!

Boys will be Boys

Recently, my husband and I were invited by his company on a little reward trip to San Antonio, TX. It was our first time there, and it was great! Love the city. But let me tell you...it was hot. Like 105 degrees hot. Everyday. Would love to go back in early spring or late fall so we could enjoy the outdoors a little more.
Anyway...I wanted to thank the general manager's of the company for their generous offer...which was a PAID trip for 5 days. It was a welcomed vacation and fun to spend time with friends and co-workers. Guys are so hard to buy thank you gifts for, so I thought we would bring back a little TX BBQ souvenir for them... Stubb's BBQ sauce is made in TX, so I decided to send them the sauce and our favorite recipe for wings. This is how it turned out! Just in time for football season and tailgate party's.

An Apple a Day
As a Marketing Director, I frequently get tasked to take on a fun project (as opposed to the not so fun ones). Since we are a health-based company, we can't just send candy or chocolates. So, a few weeks ago a created an apple basket for our sales team to send to potential clients. It got great responses!
