Inspiration Board: Rubber Ducky Shower
Here's another inspiration board for a baby shower. We went with the less "babyish" theme to fit the mom's taste, but thought I'd share this on as well. Enjoy!

Favors: Your Jar of Hearts
Favors are a lovely way to thank your guests for enjoying a special day with you and all your family and friends. It's also a great way to send them home with little memory of your day by incorporating your wedding theme into the favor. You can fill these little jars with anything and they come in sizes from 1oz. all the way up to 16oz. You can use hexagon, oval or round, tall, skinny or even blue.
There are also these cute little tins. Great for candied almonds, jelly beans, mints or you could even put your ticker tape in these for a grand exit.
The options for these are seriously endless and can be custom designed for your event.

Burp Cloth Wreath.
Wreaths are such a cute baby shower gift because they add to the decor and the new mommy can take it with them to the hospital to hang on their door. This wreath is, again, the sailor theme of the baby shower we planned for baby Ridge and his mommy. Plus, once it's all said and done, she can actually use the burp cloths. This is a great gift for shower, hospital and home.
Sorry for the floppy picture...everyone couldn't keep their hands off of it!

Events: Sailor Baby Shower.
One of my very best friends is having her first child! She is the first really close friend of mine who is pregnant. Don't get me wrong...we've had our fair share of baby showers lately. But this...is my best friend. And, she has asked me and my hubby to be Godparents. We are so honored! And scared that we won't live up to that title. But, we are going to do our best! And I started with her baby shower.
You may remember these theme-appropriate invitations designed byyours truly A Little Something Detailed. I went a little over board. (Wow...pardon the pun. Honest accident!) It is rare that someone would use such a fancy invitation for a baby shower. But, think of these as a wedding invitation. The red ribbon is chocolate brown with your monogram in the middle and the layers of the invitation are a dark metallic chocolate, icy blue and shimmery crystal white. There...a beautiful invitation for a more formal occasion.
Baby Ridge's nursery is sailing themed, so we took that and ran with it. Upon arriving guests, were allowed to guess Whitney's circumference, were handed 3 clothes pins (we couldn't say "baby" or someone could take your clothes pin) and were asked to fill out a mad lib about the big event, which we made Whitney read aloud before open her gifts.
The paper details were, of course, the best place to pull in the theme. We used a personalized party banner on the mantel with balloons and picture frames adorned with a smaller sailing flag party banner.
All aroundthe absolutely beautiful and huge home of the future grandmother, were photos of Whit throughout here pregnancy and decor to set the theme. Diaper cakes are making a huge come back and was one of the center pieces of the decor, pulling double duty when they run out of diapers at midnight one day. :)
This really was a great baby shower with over 50 guests! Lots of fun. Lots of people. And lots of baby loot for the new mommy.

Very excited to announce that my Etsy store is now open. What I love about Etsy is the community it creates among people who love and appreciate the creativity of artists, whether it be invitations, a chunky crocheted scarf or a beautiful piece of handmade jewelry.
I'll continue to add new items over the coming months, and I am thrilled to put my creative, obsessed over paper and wedding details out there for everyone to enjoy and purchase without the need for a custom order. Cheers
to that!
Etsy also has a cool little plug in for your Facebook page, so you can find my Etsy offerings there as well. And if you aren't a fan of Something Detailed yet, head on over and check it out.

Nashville Cake Pops: My New Obsession
If given a choice, would you eat the cake or the icing? People fall into 2 categories: a cake person or an icing person. I...am a cake person. And a chocolate person. So, I have the best of both worlds in cake pops. Don't worry, you icing fans will still get your icing. It's inside. Making for a moist, delicious little piece of cake on a stick.
Nashville Cake Pops is located right here in Nashville. I first tried these yummy little things at a Tennessee Titans tailgate party. They were red velvet (um...yes, please) with cream cheese icing inside and light blue white chocolate on the outside. Nicole, owner of Nashville Cake Pops, is the creator of these little bits of heaven. Trust me, you will crave them once you've had just one.
Nicole and I started collaborating about her new business, and she asked me to create some cake pop tags (above) to match the bunny shower invitations we did for a shower she hosted. That lead to more and more cake pop tags, and eventually we designed her company logo. Nicole wanted something retro and fun - like a retro sign from a vintage soda shop. I love the colors and the vibe this fun logo implies.
Other flavors include Chocolate, Devils Food, Vanilla, Coconut, Oreo, Lemon and Carrot Cake. Is your mouth watering yet?
Nashville Cake Pops is offering Valentine's Day & Easter specials, shipping nationwide. Order some for your sweety...or for yourself (guilty!).
...how cute would these be for wedding favors?!?
Check them out at www.nashvillecakepops.com or on Facebook here.
